Chateau Figeac can trace its history back to a Roman villa in the second century and has been under the ownership of the Manoncourt family since 1892. The winery is now characterised by, unusually for the Right Bank of Bordeaux, a blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, as well as its unique terroir and relentless commitment to high standards throughout the winemaking process. The result is a wine internationally recognised as one of Bordeaux’s finest, reflected in the estate’s recent promotion to the highest level of the St-Emilion classification.
