The Cambridge University Wine Society (CUWS) holds several tastings each term. We aim to bring you wines from around the world — from well-known established producers to the newest generation of exciting winemakers.
Whether you’re an experienced taster or a complete beginner who wants to learn more about wine, we welcome everyone. CUWS is a great way to taste wines you might not otherwise get to try as well as discover new favourites and understand the styles of wine you like!
Tastings are usually once a week during term time and include a broad range of wines from a single producer. All tastings are designed to be educational and guided by expert presenters who are often directly involved in winemaking and/or vineyard management.
The highlight of our calendar is the Annual Dinner, a black tie dinner served with a series of excellent wines. This is traditionally held in the Lent term. Other annual events include the summer term’s Garden Party at the end of the academic year.
