Joining the Cambridge University Wine Society (CUWS) is a rewarding and fun experience. Our membership is as broad as the University’s — from experienced wine tasters right through to people who just want to try something new.

As a member of CUWS, you will be given access to advanced tickets to our events at a reduced price. Most of our events sell out in the members’ pre-sale, so becoming a member is a way to guarantee your place at our events!

Membership to CUWS also gives you a range of discounts with our partners with your CUWS membership card.

Discounts include:

• 10% discount at Cambridge Wine Merchants for wines purchased in-store
• 10% discount at Thirsty Cambridge for wines purchased in-store
• 10% discount at Noel Young Wines for wines purchased in-store
• 10% discount at Grape Britannia for wines purchased in-store
• 10% dining discount at the Market House restaurant in Cambridge
• 5% discount on fine wines and 10% discount on wines purchased in-store at King Street Cellar

Multi-year memberships are only available to current students and alumni. Members of the public can still buy one-year memberships. Memberships are measured for academic years and will last until the last event of the Easter term.

If the email account used during registration is not @cam.ac.uk, or @cantab.cam.ac.uk, you will need to provide proof of your student/alumni or staff of the University status to confirm your membership.

As soon as you have paid, we have a record of your membership status, so you can buy tickets at the member price immediately (please note that if you bring guests who are not members they will still need to pay full price). You can collect your membership card from the membership officer at the next tasting. To arrange alternative collection times, please email the Membership Officer.
